Otokar Continues Its Rapid Rise in Fortune Türkiye 500 List

Otokar, Turkey's leading automotive and defense industry company, continues its rapid rise in Fortune 500, which determines Turkey's 500 largest companies. Otokar, which exports to more than 60 countries on 5 continents in addition to Turkey with its vehicles with intellectual property rights, rose 32 places in this year's list and ranked 142nd.

Otokar, one of the Koç Group companies, continues its rise in Turkey's most important lists with its successes in 2019, when it broke its own records in many areas. Otokar rose 32 places in the Fortune Turkey 500 list, which lists Turkey's largest 500 companies, announced for the 13th time this year. Otokar, which achieved a 45 percent growth compared to the previous year by achieving a turnover of 2.4 billion TL in 2019, rose to 142nd place in the list published this year.

Operating in more than 60 countries on 5 continents with its products with intellectual property rights, the company completed 2019 with a record in exports with its wide product range in commercial and military vehicles. Increasing its exports by 78 percent, Otokar ranked 48th in the "Top Exporting Companies" list on the Fortune Turkey 500 list with its export revenue of 340 million dollars. Constituting 42.6 percent of Turkey's GDP, Otokar ranked 38th in "Return on Equity" in the list.

This year, in the Fortune Turkey 500, which includes 98 listed companies, Otokar was listed as one of the 50 companies traded on Borsa Istanbul and most profitable for its investors.
