Otokar Becomes the Market Leader for the 14th Time

Otokar once again renewed its leadership in the bus industry in 2022.

Otokar Commercial Vehicles Deputy General Manager Kerem Erman stated that Otokar, which continues to invest in the future, achieved significant success despite the uncertainties and economic fluctuations experienced in 2022 and continues to expand and strengthen its effective dealer network throughout Turkey. 1 out of every 3 buses sold carried the Otokar brand.

Others success achieved in 2022 were awards won by the brand. The Territo coach was won the "Excellent Product Design" award in passenger transport vehicles at the "German Design Awards", one of the most prestigious awards in Europe. In addition, Otokar became the winner of the “Mobility” category at the BIG SEE Awards with its two different models of city buses.

Sharing informations about Otokar's export activities, Kerem Erman said, “The number of vehicles with the Otokar logo in world metropolises continued to increase in 2022. Otokar also increased its bus exports by 125 percent on a unit basis compared to the previous year, and exported nearly 1,300 buses in 2022, primarily to the European market.
