Eshot's 52 New Buses Started with Delivery

Otokar, the leader of the Turkish bus market, continues to be the first choice of municipalities with its modern public transportation vehicles. Otokar, which has received great acclaim in Europe as well as in Turkey, made its last delivery to Izmir, the pearl of the Aegean. With the delivery of 52 units to ESHOT, the number of Otokar vehicles on the streets of Izmir, one of the most livable cities in the world, approached 400.

Otokar, one of the Koç Group companies, does not slow down in deliveries. Otokar, which strengthens the public transportation fleets of municipalities all over Turkey with its innovative and environmentally friendly vehicles, made its new delivery to ESHOT. Offering comfortable and safe travel opportunities to millions of passengers in more than 50 countries of the world with its innovative buses, Otokar delivered 10 Sultan City, 15 Doruk LE, 17 Kent LF and 10 Kent Articulated buses with a ceremony.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Buğra Gökçe, Buca Mayor Erhan Kılıç, Gaziemir Mayor Halil Arda, Tuzlukçu Mayor Nurettin Akbuğa, ESHOT General Manager Erhan Bey and Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç attended the delivery ceremony. The people of Izmir participated next.

In his speech at the ceremony, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç stated that increasing public transportation capacity in cities has become increasingly important with the pandemic, and said that Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and ESHOT took a big step to protect public health by making an important investment decision in urban transportation during this difficult period.

Stating that Izmir, the pearl of Turkey and the Aegean, has set an example in our country with this breakthrough, Serdar Görgüç said; "Adding new buses to our buses serving on the streets of Izmir and serving this beautiful city once again makes me proud as a native of Izmir. Our buses with different passenger carrying capacities, which will be put into use with this ceremony, serve successfully in the metropolitan cities of many countries, especially in Europe, as well as in our country."
