Bovine animal number increased by 3.8% in 2019 when compared to the previous year, and became 17 million 872 thousand heads
In the group of bovine animals, cattle number increased by 3.8%, and became 17 million 688 thousand heads; buffalo number increased by 3.2%, and became 184 thousand 192 heads.
Sheep and goat number increased by 5.1% in 2019 when compared to the previous year, and became 48 million 481 thousand heads
In the group of sheep and goat, sheep number increased by 5.9%, and became 37 million 276 thousand heads; goat number increased by 2.6%, and became 11 million 205 thousand heads.

Total milk production increased by 3.8% in 2019 when compared to the previous year, and became 22 million 960 thousand tonnes.
90.5% of milk production was cow milk, 6.6% was sheep milk, 2.5% was goat milk and 0.3% was buffalo milk.

While wool, hair, mohair and honey production increased, honey wax and silkworm cocoon production decreased
According to the previous year, wool production amount increased by 6.3% and became 70 thousand 588 tonnes, hair production increased by 2.7% and became 6 thousand 162 tonnes, and mohair production amount increased by 2.3% and became 380 tonnes.
Honey production increased by 1.3% in 2019 when compared to the previous year, and became 109 thousand 330 tonnes. Honey wax decreased by 0.4%, and became 3 thousand 971 tonnes.
Number of villages in action of sericulture decreased by 2.6% in 2019 when compared to the previous year, and became 675 units. Number of families involved in sericulture decreased by 6.7%, and became 2 thousand 062 units. Number of egg boxes opened decreased by 5.6%, and became 5 thousand 890 units, while silkworm cocoon decreased by 4.4%, and became 90 tonnes.
